Young ALD patient receives a surprise send-off from his heroes
For five months, 8-year-old Patrick was in the Twin Cities for BMT treatment at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital. During his treatment for ALD, local law enforcement officers and firefighters took him under their wing. Patrick's father is a state trooper in New York.
